Stories and Legends of Rathlin. Overnight tours

STORIES AND LEGENDS OF RATHLIN

Our overnight Stories and legends tour of Rathlin follows very much the same theme as our day tour but provides with an opportunity to spend longer on the island and enjoy its

hospitality. Accommodation is provided on a bed and breakfast basis in either Arkell House or one of our lovely cottages and you will also enjoy a delicious home cooked evening meal

on the evening of your arrival.

Afternoon tea is provided on your arrival and before dinner we will embark on a walk of some areas of the island with our guide where we will give you an insight into the islands bloody history.

During dinner you will have an opportunity to learn more about the islands amazing history

and afterwards we will then retire to the bar where you will spend a pleasant (and hopefully not too scary)  evening in the company of a local historian. Our local historian will give you some insight into the events that have shaped the island and will enthrall you with local folklore stories that have been handed down from generations. You will also have a chance of buying local publications of  the folklore and history of the island which will keep you reading for weeks to come.

Thankfully it is only a very short walk back to your comfortable bed and little chance we hope of The Ceannan Dubh getting you!

The following morning after a good nights sleep you will enjoy a home cooked breakfast with free range eggs and local produce before a tour of the local churches and graveyard before catching the ferry home.
